Intuition meets Science and the News!
From Business Week Online

She says, "I'm fairly certain that my success as a scientist will depend almost entirely upon the perceptiveness of my "women's
intuition." .

From Scientific American.com
Michael Shermer who wrote the article The Captain Kirk Principle, quotes Hope College psychologist David G. Myers in his
book Intuition: Its Powers and Perils (Yale University Press, 2002). Shermer says "I confess to having been skeptical
when I first picked up the book, but as Myers demonstrates through numerous well-replicated experiments, intuition-- "our
capacity for direct knowledge, for immediate insight without observation or reason"-- is as much a component of our thinking
as analytical logic.""

Quotes on Intuition by World Wide Leaders..
Albert Einstein, (1879-1955), German Philosopher, Inventor
"The only real valuable thing is intuition."
Alexis Carrel, (1873-1944) French Biologist
"All great men are gifted with intuition. They know without reasoning or analysis, what they need to know."
Bill Gates, Entreprenuer, Founder of Microsoft
"Often you have to rely on intuition."
Michael Eisner, CEO of the Walt Disney Company
"Balanced emotions are crucial to intuitive decision making."
Donna Karan, Fashion designer
"One of our greatest gifts is our intuition. It is a sixth sense we all have — we just need to learn to tap into
and trust it."
Tom Peters, Management consultant and best selling author
"Leaders trust their guts. "Intuition" is one of those good words that has gotten a bad rap. For some reason, intuition
has become a "soft" notion. Garbage! Intuition is the new physics. It's an Einsteinian, seven-sense, practical way to make
tough decisions. Bottom line, circa 2001 to 2010: The crazier the times are, the more important it is for leaders to develop
and to trust their intuition."
Dr. Jonas Salk, (1914-1995), Virologist, discovered first vaccine against polio
"It is always with excitement that I wake up in the morning wondering what my intuition will toss up to me, like gifts
from the sea. I work with it and rely on it. It's my partner."
Robert Tucker, Author of Managing the Future
"...going with your gut can become a kind of sixth sense that can tell you to "keep the faith and continue" or "throw in
the towel." It can help you read people's true intentions and character, it can help you spot trouble spots, and think of
novel solutions to problems, and alert you very quickly when something's not working. The only time intuition will not work
is when we tune it out. "When we're greedy or when we're needy, intuition has no ignition."
